Accounting & Finance Manager

Description:

External Relations Advisor

Location:

Based In Phnom Penh

Description:

Develop and nurture relations with government authorities and other NGOs/ organizations, and with the general public. Initiate and assist ICC management in developing and implementing an effective external relations plan, which will include advocacy advisory work on such issues as land use, child welfare, multi-lingual education, etc.

Monitoring and evaluation coordinator

Description:

ICC needs a coordinator to set up a monitoring and evaluation system within ICC, and thereafter ensuring that the projects are monitored and evaluated.

Remarks:

The position will require extensive trips to the projects in various parts of the country.

Librarian

Location:

Based In Phnom Penh

Description:

ICC has a small library in our Head Office in Phnom Penh. Most of the books in the library are recorded. We need a person to finalize the set-up of the library and capacity build a local staff member to work as a librarian.

This person will also work with the IT Advisor who will be handling, sorting, and organizing electronic files and records as well as confidential or important documents of ICC.

Remarks:

Initially 3 months, possible extension to 6 months.

Community Development

Project Managers

Location:

Description:

Managing a Community Development project among minority groups. Decisions will be made in a team. May be based in PNH or provinces.

Community Development Team Leader/Coordinator

Location:

Based in Mondulkiri province

Description:

Responsible for mentoring and capacity building of local staff carrying out community development activities in villages. Particular emphasis on sustainability, community involvement, gender and women's issues. Also includes capacity building of Village Development Committees, income generation (that will start in about a year's time after the position has been filled). Work together with the agriculturalist, the vet and the educator in accomplishing sustainability in all the programmes.

Income Generation Coordinator

Description:

Local people in Ratanakiri are generally subsistence farmers and have very low incomes, which come from selling small amounts of vegetables or craft items in town. They are often cheated at the market because they do not know the value of what they are selling. The aim of this part of the project is to work with local people to create/develop income generating activities, based on existing and traditional ways of living and crafts. Also to assist local people to develop a retail outlet in Ratanakiri and contacts in Phnom Penh and other locations for selling the output of their activities.

Agriculture/Food security coordinator

Location:

Based in Ratanakiri province

Description:

The Agriculture/Food security coordinator will help set up activities that address the annual food shortage many families in Ratanakiri province suffer from every year. The activities will be implemented in the current target villages where Brao, Krung and Tampuen people live. These indigenous people groups have traditionally practiced slash-and-burn farming but are now, due to illegal land grabbing, are challenged to change their traditional way of farming.

Project Managers

Multilingual-education Specialists

Location:

Description:

Multilingual-education Specialists will partner with communities and organizations to carry out various MLE projects, providing leadership and expertise to the planning and implementation of these projects (program design, primer construction, materials development, writers' workshops, teacher training, program supervision and management training, etc.). Possible involvement in multilingual education programs.

Description:

Work together with the existing educator to help research, design and coordinate a bilingual education program in the formal primary school system in Mondulkiri province.

Materials Development Supervisor

Location:

Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the expansion of the post literacy material production in Brao, Krung, Kavet and Tampuan as well as providing appropriate Khmer and bilingual materials for indigenous people in the targeted villages and in the whole province. This is a post with a requirement to train a local staff counterpart to continue as a multimedia support person after completion of this term.

Multimedia Specialist / Artist

Location:

Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to enable ICC staff to make use of modern technology in order to improve the quality of print media production as well as to study options to expand the material production in the areas of non-print and multimedia. This is a post with a requirement to train a local staff counterpart to continue as a multimedia support person after completion of this term.

English Teacher

Description:

To hold English lessons in a number of ability levels for local project staff. The local staff spend much of their time working in the villages and so this position needs to be flexible in terms of working hours and class size. There is a wide range of levels of English currently spoken by local staff and also a range of reasons for wanting/needing to learn English.

Home Schooling Coordinator / Teacher

Non Formal Education (NFE) Coordinator

Location:

Based in Ratanakiri province

Description:

Overall coordination and management of activities within the Non-Formal Education (NFE) sector of ICC's RIDE Project. The NFE Coordinator also has a role in the Integrated RIDE project to encourage and stimulate staff to cooperate with other RIDE project team members and their technical sectors. Another role of the NFE Coordinator is to stimulate team members to think more thoroughly to increase the quality of activities being implemented. Furthermore, this position includes direct supervision and capacity building of NFE national staff, government liaison, financial budgeting and reporting. The NFE Coordinator will work closely together with the Language Team Coordinators and NFE Consultants/Linguists, who provide technical input and advice for each language.

Short Term Possibilities

English teacher/Nanny

Location:

Based in Ratanakiri Province

Description:

Teach English to the local project staff of different language levels. The local staff spend much of their time working in the villages so this position needs to be flexible in terms of working hours and class size.

Help a family take care of their three year old son and one infant, while both the mother and father work in ICC’s RIDE project in Ratanakiri. This part of the job will be coordinated according to the planning of the English teaching.

Electrician

Location:

Description:

To carry out a full electrical inspection and, if necessary, (supervise) renovation of the ICC RIDE office. This is a short term post in order to ensure that the working environment within the ICC office is safe with regards to the use of electrical equipment.
